engl/dt/chin, Peking 2005Distanzen als Teil des skulpturalen Begriffs charakterisieren die fragilen Raumzeichnungen Uwe Hauenfels´. Stahl wird zu linearen Raumgebilden verbunden, die sich in einem bewegten Rhythmus gleich einer Raumlineatur als dreidimensionales Objekt ausdehnen. Der Raum und die Fläche zwischen den linearen Elementen konstituiert dabei wesentlich den Werkcharakter in dem die äußere Gestalt der Strukturen den Zwischenraum einnimmt. Die durchsichtige, real abwesende Haut ist integrativer Bestandteil des Objekts. Steel is bound into linear drawings of space, which expand in a moving rhythm, similar to a spatial lineature, into a three-dimensional object. The space and the linear elements constitute the essence of the object´s character in that the external guise of the structure takes command of the in-between spaces.
